Just read a bit more and you will find that gays and lesbians are regularly jailed and tortured in Egypt,for example. And there are many here (not you) who say they would lynch them. And Kenyan law still retains a colonial law that stipulates that gays should be jailed for 14 years! And the Galileo example is simply to illustrate the foolishness of mindless intolerance,simply because another person holds a contrary opinion.

Jailed for only 14 years for being gay? thats not bad... infact,they have a fair deal there...

As for the lynching and killing - i thought we were talking about our very own Chege and Ngengis and the like not what the other countries do with theirs..... If Egyptians find it offensive enough to lynch them,well,who are we in Kenya to say they shouldnt? In the middle east,they cut off your hand for stealing and stone you to death for adultery,we dont do that in Kenya(neither do we have the authority to discredit their laws) so lets stick to our motherland problems.

Why do u jail someone for their sexuality...These jails are packed n there are more deserving criminals of the free accommodation.

All in all,this is one dynamic world...In my short lifetime some serious s*** has gone down. Si I'd give anything to sit on this chair in the year 2109...

clearly you have not read the threats of lynching against gays in Kenya right here in these posts. And Kenya is not an island. And oppression anywhere is oppression everywhere. Did you know that apartheid in South Africa was finally defeated because of the joint efforts of women and men within and without SA who said NO! and stood up for blacks in the country?

This issue calls for reasoning and not quoting religious books which are irrelevant to billions of people all over the world.
Millions and millions don't believe in any supernatural yet they have a life & morals and they go about their lives just like anybody else and much better than the average believing Kenyan.
Gays are going about their lives and what are 'people of god doing?' condemning them like they themselves were God. According to the bible,being gay is a sin,so is having sex before marriage. I don't hear any 'people of god' condemning the latter.

Call it convenience.

What bullshit.
