Wukan the issue is the agreement Uhuruto signed with IMF President Christian Lagarde when she came to Kenya. It stated that debt repayment takes first charge on ordinary revenue I.e what Kra collects. Gok should make sure that money is available and in the account 30 days prior to the due date and that money cannot be spent on other things. The balance of the money from what KRA has collected is what can be used for other expenditure and if not enough GOK borrows from the mkt. That is why in the second week of December CBK issued a Treasury bond of sh.35bn but only took 15bn since the market interest was higher than CBK targets. CBK then issued a tap sale last week to raise sh.25bn to cover for the shortfall. The closing date is 29 December. That is the money to be used to pay salaries and meet other government expenditures Wealth is built through a relatively simple equation Wealth=Income + Investments - Lifestyle

From sources Jubilee regime had to suspend all payments to meet our Army & Police services salaries to avoid revolt. Jubilee regime is at crossroad they have Eurobond loan to pay 46B to be precise before year closes & there is no money. There is an emergency meeting tomorrow to address EuroBond payment which is pressing jubilee thus why a holiday tomorrow. My simplistic conspiracy theory is that IFMIS has made to fail to prove that you can't rely on technology without manual back up. Interesting theory So what manual system are they using to replace IFMIS to prove their case? In the business world, everyone is paid in two coins - cash and experience. I figured Tuesday would be late so I scraped it and went on with other business. What does NDO do to the likes of me? Is the Monday 2pm deadline written in stone? Almost happened to me last month. You should have tried the Tuesday at least it could have maybe saved you in future. You might get suspended from participating in future auctions they take such stuff seriously... possunt quia posse videntur

They are now sending out statements and tax receipts pronto! The front desk is manned and fully functional for the 'analogue' clients. Info on Upcoming offers, running offers, results etc is very visible (via website, newspapers, social media) The telephone manners however....... There are yards of space for improvement Pesa Nane plans to be shilingi when he grows up.
