For Balotelli it has nothing to do with Shitty. Ni bhangi ya zamani!
The fellow was abandoned by his parents because they could not afford another kid and was adopted by an Italian couple. Given the neighbourhood he was living in, he experienced racism from an early age - not to mention the reality of being abandoned by his own parents. His parents were to later look for him but he disowned them and said he wants nothing to do with them. He went to the extent of changing his name to that of his adopted parents - Balotelli! All this has made him one a very angry human being. While some people have internal systems to deal with such anger, he seems to have none. That, or he wants to remain angry. The "I'm happy with my anger attitude".
Roberto Mancini is even on record encouraging him to smile once in a while. The fellow score's a goal and from the look in his face you might think he has just been denied a clear penalty. There is a time he smiled after the scoring and the picture/clip was all over the press!!!
Fame and money has also added fuel to the fire. There was a time he was pulled over by the police with £50,000/= in cash (approx. Kshs. 7m) and when asked why he was carrying such a huge amount of money his simple answer was "Because I'm rich!!!".
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
