I wouldn't be surprised if Equity hit 30 by sept.

And what would take it to 30bob if i may ask??
Not the current dividend yield, not the forward p/e, not the price/book which is higher than 4, and not the losses being made by its subsidiaries...

That 40%+ growth, combined with Mkesho will have to be fully reflected in the price. This year they are not expanding the branches so the cost base will be steady. And the rains combined with improving economy will reduce the risk of defaults.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

guru, the fact that it's Equity is enough to see the share rise in such a good year

If you bought equity at these levels hoping for gains this year then i wish you good luck...

@ vvs,

I hope you will use this week to stock up your fringe.

UHT Milk, Canned veggies, Prepared foods, cereals, Extra mafuta, Enough unga for 1 week... A 'new' cylinder of cooking gas...

I opted to skip anything that needs refrigeration just in case my transformer is vandalised...

The purchase of Stanchart Bank shares is proving to be a timely move. The share has risen to the Ksh 280 level even before the half year results and details of the rights issue are released.

At a purchase price of Ksh 228 (Ksh 237 when you factor purchase and sale costs), the share has risen by about 20% within the month of purchase.

Going forward, i expect the share to test the Ksh 300 range before the week ends and the Ksh 320 range when the haly year results and rights issue details are released.

Happy hunting
