You don't get materially rich by accident. kweli kabisa. i havent read the rest of the thread but the absence of critical thought is the black african's biggest undoing. africans more than anyone else, heavily defer to the mob or crowd psychology no matter how silly the crowd's position is. we are comfortable with obvious foolishness as long as everyone else is and dare not entertain the unknowns of new ideas. hardly any are bold enough to pursue an idea that could attract scorn and ridicule by 'society'. the black african was probably too scared to invent a car, plane, engine, bicycle, paved roads, phones, computers, written language, guns, steel etc, because he was worried about neighborhood gossip or what 'society' will think of him. we are yet to come to terms with the notion that the majority can be wrong. look around your home or office. you'll be lucky if you find 0.01% of the things around you were invented by a black african. even rudimentary stuff like our names, religions and so-called traditions like circumcision are foreign lmao. no wonder just a handful of mzungus armed with guns came and fyekad the entire continent of hundreds of millions armed with spears. africa lacked a significant thinking/intellectual class and, in my view, it still does. africa's so-called intellectuals are essentially academics regurgitating old ideas. we have a gazillion professors in engineering but cannot build something as basic as a railway line. we cannot even reverse engineer such simple stuff from the 1700s lol. money has nothing to do with it. europeans were inventing groundbreaking stuff when they were much worse off than africans of today. until black africans change their way of thinking, it will be at least another one thousand years before we catch up with the west. despite africa's decent growth in recent years, what many people dont realize or discuss is that the gap in per capita GDP between africa and the west has actually increased. our imports continue skyrocketing compared to our exports. and since we are not willing to change our way of thinking, we will just remain in our mediocrity - also never understood why we can't do basic stuff like build roads and the rail, build dams and dig trenches and place pipes moving water to households, we can't even build decent houses, all basic/elementary technologies.

I agree with you most of the stuffs here but do you know that civilization first started in Africa.FACT -check Egypt and their pyramids ,preservation of mummy bodies using chemicals. .Africans invented most of the things they needed for their day to day life long long time ago before the colonialist came with their ideology . Check your facts . All the invention though primitive now but modern during those days ,were good inventions. FACTS :everything stopped and africans were made to believe their invention was foolish after the west came till today. And gradually they stopped being innovative because of education system introduced by west making africans believe that her majesty was demigod. FACT : That's why we import more than export till right now . We have had a mental slavery and erosion .

I thinks its our failure to copy that has been our major undoing so far, we can't even copy the most basic technology.

Ubaya ya Mwafrika ni self destruction! Mumeambiwa very well that the first University was in Africa, in Timbuktu to be specific, thats the first University in the entire world! As in people used to travel across the oceans and the land to learn from present day Malians! But no! Mwafrika is ALWAYS on self destruct mode! You want to prove to the world more than anything just how inferior you are. There are external events that occurred between then and now, thats why when Africans go out to the diaspora, they are usually the best performers! But dont mind me, endeleeni!

But dont mind me, endeleeni! do you guys know there is an African man called Apostle Kwado safo manufacturing cars in Ghana, His cars are good and look like Toyota. but as a continent we don't want to buy his car because we believe its not of quality as the ones they enslaved us to believe from the west . He tried to export his cars to some African countries but they shut him down with lack of technology and impossible taxes. the cars are only driven in few west African countries and that's it. Fact ; link cars made in africaFACT here is the link for his cars

Gun powder was discovered by the Chinese, maths/numbering by some guys in middle east, the same as irrigation and the damn ancestor of the present day paper, crazy architecture was first achieved by arabs / south american indians. But who is the boss now in the world, some guys whose ancestors were arranging rocks in circles when the rest of the world was engaging in complex mathematical formulas t put up their structures. In short, history is just that, history. Only those who are doing well can take pride in their history, otherwise its daft to go back to historical universities while your children die from a preventable disease like malaria, its daft to take pride in how brilliant you are in the diaspora while your family is infested with jiggers.

Mwafrika had the first university, but he became content with that, being the first but not being advanced or better. Mwafika once ruled the world, during the Mali empire when the commodity of the day was salt which was more valuable than gold ... He became content with just trading in salt and Gold copper etc. Salt was more valuable then because it was the best form of preserving food esp when the weather became warm in Europe. When the white man learnt of how to preserve food using ice even in the hot months, salt became nothing. To date, Mwafrika doesn't know what to make of the gold he mines, the copper, titanium, oil, labor, the food - coffee, tea, cocoa cotton etc. This is mainly because we are lacking that critical thinking skill mentioned up there. For example, we choose to sell our oil raw instead of refining some of it for our consumption (Petrol, Kerosene, Diesel, LPG, lubricants, Wax paraffin, Sulfur for industrial use, tar and asphalt for constructing roads, petroleum jelly) and in the process create other industries that can absorb the labor that is present in abundance. All these companies will require lawyers, accountants, bankers, homes to live in (to rent or buy), food to eat (hotels + mama mboga) "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

The bottom line is Africans evolve and change your way of thinking! John 5:17 But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.”

I give up!! Ati math was discovered by who? This is the self hate, self destruction mode of the African. Even after you have been told that the first University was in Timbuktu, you just make up things to justify your stupidity! Hve you even heard of Egyptian numerology? Lemme help you out, Pythogoras gained his knowledge of numbers from Egyptians. I know, next you'll tell me the Egyptians were Arab. Wallow on in your ignorance, I have better things to do with my time. Enyands, thanks for the info, had no idea there is an African made car!
