@hisah . I agree with you on cotton and wheat and maize but lets agree that sugar prices will come crushing down w/ that shipment from india the comimg month. The same goes for cocoa. A huge harvest will b coming frm west africa. I expect a price fall .
I intend to play this global warming to the best of my ability .

The best way to hedge food inflation is to buy a food stock and ride it upwards... Then sell and presto! You'll have food Laughing out loudly

A caveat here is if the dollar escapes debasement which frankly is inevitable then commodity prices will crash hard as hedge funds unwind their bets. Until then expect more upward pressure on commodities and the charts also say so. The trend is your friend smile

You need to buy a farm not Unga (which needs maize from farmers)...

I anxiously waiting for the report of Unga hoping that they will deliver something good this time round. A better bonus or good dividends. Something to make me happy for holding on to it for about 6years

On its result week unga has started off by losing 2.5% of its value trading 13900 shares...

Should we be getting worried because these might be insiders selling....

@ Jamani,

You mean u have been eating Ugali for that long. Hahahahaha

Well for me it is a short term play, if it dissapoints, I will move our very quickly.
