The cane juice destined from sugar production through crystallization is not in a form it can be safely consumed by a human being, only an ignorant dunderhead can consume it.
Its dirty, with sand particles, dead rodents, dead pythons, dried shiets etal...it has to go through some chemical cleaning before it can be consumed.
..It's only consumable at syrup level even though it's still nothing to enjoy. That is the stuff that makes the base of your kawaida cough syrup and that is after undergoing very many processes.......Now, back in the days, a sugar mill attendant in Brazil disappeared and only his hair and shredded overall remains were noticed hours later....Let's toast to some mill cane juice . On the "Kampala" name, i am told (I may not verify) that Indian coolies brought and started growing the Georgian Red variety in and around Kampala towards the end of railway construction. Kenyan traders who brought it back home coined the name (Not sure). Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

If someone wants to enjoy sugacane juice to enhance her landing gears and sweetness then he or she only needs to buy that domestic juicer, its very affordable. Then buy clean Kampala canes from those roadside/estate sugarcane hawkers...juice up and enjoy...but dont let it stay for more than 24hrs...itakuwa chang'aa. I recently bought a liter of cane juice from a supermarket exit hapo western, was planning to consume it pole pole for a couple of days, ole wangu! On the second day it was smelling like East African Malting, ile iko pale Likoni road. Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

....Pole . The reason they scald or add hot water, incubate and then lime mill sugar juice!.....btw, origino muratina used to be made from cane juice and that is where the name Kimiri comes from (Means the contraption used to mill the cane or the person who was a specialist in that work ) Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.
