Surely.. What confusion is this.. A number of properties still seeking tenants at KES 32,000 and lower. please inform the clueless fellows kuwa that is the going price for a 3bedroom in Athi River!!! Rent in Nyayo should be KES 40,000 going by purchase price of the units

Did not know that's how rent is calculated, from the purchase price. What formula is used.

ROI

Obiero, you expected somebody who got the houses for free or used corruption money to buy the houses to take into consideration the ROI?

It is not possibble that all the 4,000 plus houses are owned by Hustler and Company. Got mine through hard work, plus network ofcourse :)

I would say:
- When boosters are located far away, the mobile phone uses more power/radiation to communicate with it.
- When the boosters are near, the mobile phone just need to 'whisper' to communicate hence less power is used.
- There is KCA radar just nearby which transmits far much power than the boosters combined. Why not complain about this?
- Why do you permanently use microwaves and Bluetooth devices and then complain about a mere booster?

Very weird residents association. These masts are ubiquitous

Who knows, a petition might be on the way for the airport to be moved away from their houses due to the radar. @obiero should confirm.

-Second largest estate in Africa hosting over 40,000 residents

-Shockingly; a Nyayo project run by NSSF and it actually worked and still works!

- Clean, beautiful and superbly run (compare with BuruBuru Laughing out loudly )

- Kwelicompetent and efficient management makes all the difference. Rules, bylaws and regulations STRICTLY regulated. Kudos to the managers

- No single pothole, no garbage piles

- Biggest reinforced concrete water reservoir in the country storing 6 million litres.

- Each homeowner must have a car sticker to access the estate

- A whopping 288 security officers ensuring complete peace for residents. Can leave your door unlocked by mistake and come back and find everything intact. All packages inspected per court and owner has to agree in writing for anything to be ferried out of their apartment!

- Super clean. Accoutable management

- Has won two awards: cleanest estate in Africa

- Only kshs 2500 service charge! Covers all services

- Houses are in high demand as mortgages were available for 15 years at decent rates

The only negative

- water issues - common all over Nairobi. Yet even this has been solved with an internal rationing system! Entirely run by funding from residents, causing them to rarely miss water! And they have dug 6 boreholes..one per phase!

Kenyans, we can do this! Let this be the gold standard for all other mega housing projects covered by the big 4 otherwise we will litter the country with hundreds of BurBurus! Existing estates can still be restored to glory by getting the right management following the principles above.

Dustbowl developers, let's apply this to our projects as well. Tusiachwe nyuma jameni. Let us apply the same principles from day one in all the estates from day one in order to leave a good housing legacy for our great great grandkids and make our dustbowl new cities model cities for Kenyasmile .

Ni hayo maoni yangu tu!
