I expect KQ to give an EXTRA GOOD result.
Why:
1.WC
2.Forex Gain
3.New routes

Any chance of an interim dividend announced on 5th?smile

Oh nearly forgot, airlines will always have grumbling employees due to the very nature of the industry/coz it has traditionally been happening.

With the grumbling workers i dont think there will be any interim dividend...and yes with new routes in the 2H the end year is worth waiting for...half year EPS of 3.5 possible?...also there might be gains on the fuel hedges...

2mn+ shares traded... and 43% net sales by foreigners... [Doesn't mean they are right]

http://www.iata.org/pres...ages/2010-10-26-01.aspx

Sep passenger numbers by IATA

African carriers reported a 16% growth in demand over the previous September against a 10.1% increase in capacity. The region is now 7% higher than the pre-recession levels of early 2008.

Unfortunately, the breakdown does not show it by country or carrier but since KQ is one of the larger airlines, I hope this means they have benefited...

16% growth in passengers vs 10% capacity means better PLFs...

KQ will has added capacity in 2Q & 3Q 2010-11 & 2 more E-190s are being delivered to boost regional capacity in 4Q 2010-11

The price action today plus the volume is a testing supply gimmick. I want to see 40/- tested and the reaction on that test. If it's tested and bounces back to 45 in 3 days span, then the support will be reestablish at 40. But the break of 45/- is a bit concerning...

I think it is also important to look at how the prices were towards the closure of the market. If it was gearing higher, then we might be bullish tomorrow

Could this be a harbinger of things to come? I am about 80% of my targeted quantity and it looks like it may be difficult to get the remaining 20% at 43 or below.

With the demand almost six times supply, we might remain bullish up to around 50 bib. If the half year results are exciting we could see the share jump by 30% or thereabouts
