@Guru. This bank is steadily openning branches in the right towns and areas. Just pop into one of the one of their branches a see the robust business they are doing. But you need to go through the CEO Q2 presentation on read their strategy to see why their profits will keep on growing.

One Key product they have is the ATM switch for co-operatives. This allows Co-op to issue visa cards to members of Saccos without them having to be customers of Co-op Bank. So far they have hooked a good number of saccos. You can imagine VISA/ATM transaction commission they are going to earn as the number grows and the potential in terms of co-op movement. Again a large chunk of their shares 60% + is held by the co-operatives who technically cannot sell them. BUt again lets wait for quota 3 results. I can only say that this is one of the banks which have consistently posted good profits and am happy to be one of the beneficiaries.

Very true. The Coop movement in the country is growing very fast and with new Sacco regulations, it is bound to be stable. Their growth is the growth of Coo[ bank and also my favourite OTC counter, CIC

I do not know but Aga Khan was one of the Financiers. It was a very expensive project after the donours fiasco that characterised the project funding.
