Today sounds an appropriate day for the staff. The deal can either buy the staff from Namibia or get us some Malt

The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

@ Madam Guru. I studied the half yr results 2010, and compared them with 2009 half yr. I noticed that 2009 half yr PAT 274M, This yr PAT 435M. End yr 2009 PAT 913M. meaning they made like 600M in the second half 2009.

My question is, Is this maybe how insurance business is with claim settlement at the end of the year? If not why the large difference between H1 and H2 2009.

@Aguytrying this happens every year with Jubilee... the H1 is never consistent with the FY results so with this years H1 EPS at 8.02 expect serious wonders at the FY

What time horizon are you looking at? I am sure if you got DTB at 120, you will not regeret. I also advice you to get into CFC before it hits KES 100

I'm finally now a Jubilee shareholder even though i had to bid thru the roof to get the shares but i'm glad i got them below 200 bob...200 bob is the key resistance...once we break it 250 bob will be another resistance with 200 bob turning out to be the support...

@the deal welcome to the club... its seems you're following me everywhere i go Laughing out loudly first safcom, mumias, unga, now JHL...

But you should've entered at around 160 as opposed to 200 because at 200 there is a huge dividend risk that the directors do not seem to care about.... Infact this dividend risk is what has kept this stock from unlocking its true value...

if they paid a 100% dividends this stock is supposed to be over 450bob but anyway i'll stay patient

6 months to run up to end yr results. I tried getting DTB at 120, 122 but just couldn't. In the 115-119 range i thought it would go down or stabilise, how wrong was i. Missed the boat. My cash is locked up in kq. So cant get into cfc either. thanks.

guru, don't you find this share too illiquid? Thus posing a problem during your exit?

yeah i know... But if I have a large holding of an illiquid stock I usually am in for the long term...

But if I do have to sell/dump the shares i do it slowly by slowly so as not affect the price and sometimes I drive down the price to encourage the demand...

Its the same thing I do when getting into an Illiquid stock.. I simply bid up the price to encourage supply to come in...

By the way have you seen KCB results??? @mkonomtupu just posted them on the bank Q3 thread
