Try the Equity Bank's Apple Medihealth Insurance

Thought it was much cheaper than the APA and unlike APA, if there are preexisting conditions you dont pay an upfront 150k & 12 months waiting to access the cover.

Medical expenses have been draining my already thin income.Im currently looking for a basic medical cover for my small family.

The following are my specifications:

Husband
Wife
1 child 2years old

Cover inpatient :500,000
Outpatient :100,000

Option of covering wife and child only.

Recommendations and the likely annual premium?
Hospitals covered ,and the diseases covered.

How is madison insurance? any experiences ?

Check this out: http://www.resolution.co...-products/harmony-plan/ and this: http://www.aarhealth.com...-plans/afya-maisha.html

Depending on you&wife ages, you are looking at 70k to 100k pa. BTW: Out patient covers are quite expensive.

I have been with AAR for quite a while and early this year changed to Jubilee. This has turned out to be a mistake especially for outpatient. The family is almost exhausting the Kshs 100K limit courtesy of hospitals bent on maximizing their income with little regard for costs. A single visit to some of the hospitals will drain Kshs 8K from the limit through unnecessary lab tests, drugs from Germany and the US, and other procedures one could easily do without.

I will probably head back to AAR for their unlimited outpatient cover - they have their issues though - but I am not keen to be paying out of pocket for my kids treatment halfway though the year.

Try GA Insuarance
They have a good inpatient cover for the family about 75K for member+4.
You will get the full deatils.as for the outpatient i find it cheaper sorting the bills myself and mind you they are not much for the family (Thanks God).
