I'm happy, but I'm only grinning, not laughing. Voice charges have been optimized. The remaining areas of improvement: SMS: A text costs the mobile service provider a grand total of 10cents to send. Shukisha. International calls: Kenyan service providers are still using voip technology which is almost free(ask Skype). shukisha pia Data: 2years into this fibre optic hype and we're still talking of speeds in Kbps? Shukisha pia Mobile Money: will someone open up their damn API so we can do e-commerce already?

When this thread first appeared, I surmised it was a "no-brainer" - I have not quite read all the responses but it looks like abt 99% Yes and 1% maybe/perhaps/maybe not/Dk/Notsure/No I have shares....
@KulaRaha...over to you...

Why do they have make it complicated.....

@KulaRaha...over to you... Djinn, now you realise how critical it is we keep Zain alive...even if on life support....just to ensure they scare the daylights out of the big green monster....and MJ knows he will never be able to exploit us again. Business opportunities are like buses,there's always another one coming

I love this!!! Very true... Important thing is to keep Zain alive enough to scare the monster but the monster too shouldnt die.... otherwise we will be nurturing another pink monster.....

But What the hell are they waiting for before they start the data war??? the data war begins...saf offers unlimited internet at the usual bundles...300 Mb for 999, 700Mb for 1999/= 1 Gb for 2999/=. Twist is that once the bundle is depleted, there is an out of bundle speed/QoS. 32 Kbps for the 300 Mb bundle, 64 Kbps for the 700 Mb bundle and 128 Kbps for the 1 Gb bundle...

@kularaha once ur bundle is depleted you still continue to browse unlimited but at a lower QoS as Olu has outlined above. And until Zain launches 3G those out of bundle speeds are much higher than what they offer currently...
