@VVS
Biological gains have now become a feature of Agri counters.They dont avail any cash for distribution and i agree one has to see through them.Still expect the core business to have improved much,WTK doubled their turnover.As for merali i am not holding past 10.50,at least i will have doubled my investment then.And now the WTK half year have taken it to prices where trading in it has become difficult,hope they will have a good dividend pay out at year end,otherwise actualising capital gains looks a tough call.

@Tazama

Don't just buy because someone has said buy. Do your own research.

Imagine if El Nino was a stock traded in the NSE, most of us would have taken the Q from Kenya meteorological department and bought. We'd all be Pray at this time.

BBI will solve it

World markets have reacted positively as Abu Dhabi has now provided $10 billion of finance to debt-laden Dubai to stave off a potential bond default due to mature today. it would be interesting to see the reaction on local counters as picked by foreign investors.

@ectasy are you hijacking @sharon's post? Lol, wewe ni haramia kweli. But b4 we digress ... @sharon, dont buy in dec. Buy in late jan and in feb. New year is buyer's market. Buy stocks with dec year ends, with good perfomance in 08 and probability for good upside reaction to positive news. Wait for results in march and apr, then sell cum all. Consider nbk, ken re,kenol,coop, nmg
Life is short. Live passionately.

According to Ireri, HFCK annual business growth will average 50% - in an economic downturn! as I've said before, this is not a bad counter for your Christmas shopping...happy holidays.
