I just saw a trade at 186 on the live feed. Any brokers out there to confirm this?

@cnn - Not the basic data... but more insights... especially depth of the market. In Kenya,we do not have market makers so there is no 'incentive' to smoothen (or arbitrage) thus the variations/spreads are too high.

*** KPLC has a bid for 147,offer at 174 & last trade at 150. Too many/high spreads especially since the trading day is half over.
**** Does it mean there are sellers hiding at lower than 174? (Seems likely)... What of the bidders? (Well, tuff to say but all the shares at 150/- were sold)...

@meshaque - U just bolstered my argument on why we need a market maker. The spread is too high. There shud be a middle ground where the buyers & sellers can actually trade...

Holla... a trade at 173... probably a small trade but the trend is higher... @cnn @meshaque - Do you have details?

It appears KPLC is at cruising speed which is expected taking into account the recent announcement on restructuring. But can anyone predict the resistance level of this stock.

KPLC made 40/- as EPS but with rains & increased supply through Aggreko (so no more rationing) this can rise to 50/- in 2010.

KPLC has been aggressively going after the crooks who steal transformers & cables. I hope this action will reduce downtime & costs. Both these will add to profits.

The dilution by conversion is the bogeyman. Until this is determined,we remain in the dark.
