@Tusker-nane, Load versus generating capacity. One player exits the field unceremoniously thereby reducing capacity ........................results??...Overload.Units trip one by one.....Total blackout.Really,we had to beg our neighbours for 35MW.........we are obviously strained. Old man about town.... Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Electricity generation & transmission is not like lighting your jiko... Even the USA had a huge power failure (almost all of East Coast) 2 years ago or so... Loads need to be balanced... unbalanced loads cause tripping... to protect the other stations... sorta how if u plug 10 items in one socket... it chomokas but also shuts off the main switch/fuse... why? SAFETY... Greedy when others are fearful,Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase WB Greedy when others are fearful. Very fearful when others are greedy - to paraphrase Warren Buffett

Total blackout at the coast, off since 6pm yesterday,I thought Kipevu was online, worse is that kplc don't know where the problem is so they are patrolling the line from Mombasa to Kiambere. No power means no water plus God decided to give us a heat wave made worse by no wind, no AC no fan, only thing is to go skinny dipping at the beach to cool down. To Each His Own
