People do that all over the world even the most established democracies like the US are much worse, people vote in racial divides. Blacks and Hispanics always vote democrats, white supremacists - republican.
I have to laugh at the idea that the USA is worse.
Are you serious.
If tribe or race was the over-arching factor, Obama would never stand a chance in 2008 or 2012. Blacks are only 12% of the population.
Americans vote mostly based on economic interests. In 2008, factory workers, coal workers, steel workers, auto-workers etc voted for Obama which is why he won in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio etc.
They voted for him because they thought he would be the person who would look after their economic interests.
Those very same people then voted for trump in 2016 because he promised to rescue their jobs.
States like Montana, Wyoming etc typically vote republican because they are gun nuts and they think Democrats will take their guns away.
The Bible belt votes largely on issues like abortion which really helps republicans.
The US election has almost always been about the economy. Carter won 297 electoral votes in 1976. He made a mess of the economy and in 1980 he won only 49 electoral votes compared to 489 for reagan.
The hispanic vote is not monolithic either. In 2004, 44% of Hispanics voted for George Bush.
As for black people, they don't vote simply on race either. Much of it has to do with economic issues. Republican policies typically favour people with high incomes.
All this clamour to build a wall is in large part from people who think central Americans are lowering wages. It might explain why many hispanics support trump. Even they don't want their wages lowered by an influx of immigrants.
The fact that carter won 297 votes in 1976 and then only 49 in 1980 ought to tell you that Americans don't tolerate mediocre economic performance by a president.
Kenyans will support a person from their tribe no matter how poor his economic record is, no matter how high unemployment is and no matter how rampant corruption is.
