The Price of Maize in Uganda has dropped to ~KES 900/bag....just when some of the Maize in Kenya planted in March 2018 is about to be harvested and NCPB silos full...Cry beloved Kenyan farm. Expect Maize glut

In other news the Narok wheat farmers about to harvest bumper wheat crop at the same time Ships docking in Mombasa with imported wheat.


Best thing should be to buy now @900 bob, store and then sell to ncpb when stores open in a few months @3200.

Meanwhile animal feed prices remain constant whether maize is 900 or 3200 bob. Same with unga.

True. Agriculture is devolved. So every county should have their own NCPB silos and buy and store their produce. Even those dengus za ngilu.
