Mama Ngina was born Ngina Muhoho, daughter of Chief Muhoho wa Gathecha. She married Jomo Kenyatta as his third wife in 1951, a union characterised as a "gift" to Kenyatta from his ethnic group. Don't ask for details

RIP Margaret and may the family find peace Was @Edna the first wife OR Wahu? See, in the 1920s guy were landing left and center while in the 21st century you want to force @Kalasinga to stick to one Rael only, surely guys! I think the order was 1. Don't ask for details Yaani just a gift has given birth to a president? It's not the gift but the message it contains/conveys. Gifts mean a lot in power relations. Ever wondered why visiting head of state give each other gifts. European uthamakis used to do this kind of thing marry off a girl to sustain influence. Jomo must have learned this during his stay in the UK where he was sent by the peasants to go and see the queen and present their land grievances.

You're obsessed with emancipated women who think walking around naked and having abortions is controlling their body.

Quote: When Kenyatta was arrested in 1952, he had left Mama Ngina with two toddlers, both girls. Jane Makena Wambui's mother, a sister to Mbiyu Koinange, had been married to Jomo Kenyatta, but she tragically died after giving birth. Upon marriage, Mama Ngina inherited Makena Wambui. She then gave birth to her own first child, Christine Wambui. When Mama Ngina was jailed by the colonialists for "subversive" work, she took her two girls to jail with her. http://www.ipsos.co.ke/N...y%20Nation_35_8be16.pdf
