I can bet earlier Iphones cannot upgrade to iOS 10. Because that is how these device companies make money. Your phone has an expiry date. FYI, major telcos are advising users not to upgrade their Iphone 5,6(s) to iOS 10 yet because of network connection issues. I know there connection issues with MSOffice email systems- that is for those who use their phones to connect to work email. Although "Apple is aware of the major bug and working on a fix"
