Just tells you what was happening when Munir Ahmed was the CEO. Then he tried asset sales to hide the NPL so that proceeds can be used to write off the NPL. Wealth is built through a relatively simple equation Wealth=Income + Investments - Lifestyle

I think we complicate stock investing for nothing. We are not at the company day by day to see how it's run. Then, Why would you invest in a manager / Co owners you can't trust? Why? Like all gok firms and especially this regime. This is how they will all end up. KPLC? Why is the share price so low? I hope KCB is spared the curse. it's possible to steal money and assign it as a npl belonging to a dead person or a person who doesn't know This is a fraudulent shell game. If GoK was serious about pursuing/ascertaining the culprits a forensic audit would suffice. The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many people as possible.

KPLC? Why is the share price so low? I hope KCB is spared the curse. Watching from very far Kanu era reloaded I am reading a lot of fear in people's posts. The bear has been very patient and choosy in cracking the whip, nonetheless, it will have its fill and give way to a multi-year bull run. On the bright side, this bear season offers a good opportunity especially for the banks to clean up their act rather than carry forward with baggage and that includes Kcb. If there is a full blown banking crisis as is looking likely, the better since it guarantees a complete washout. The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many people as possible.

I really don't understand this business of huge non performing loans. Were they dished out without any form of security/guarantee ? Were they given to ghosts? Can't someone who signed off the loans be held responsible? punda amecheka

Can't someone who signed off the loans be held responsible? A non performing loan is not a write-off. In our CBK rules, it is any interest / installment that falls due and is not honoured for 90 or more days. Pesa Nane plans to be shilingi when he grows up.
