When I work on these dreams I find out my subconscious thoughts and I find new perspectives and new thoughts about what I need to do in my conscious life.

Like right now I'm working on two vivid dreams I had today, and so far, I'm finding the material illuminating.

Okay.....but are you sure you are not high?smile

Unconscious material have an element of 'height', and the more one relates to them actively and consciously then the more likely one goes high.

Why would mother nature inactivate your body and activate your brain to watch things that you may never have imagined?

Meditation is consciously willed and controlled dreaming. . .

Would you say that Syokimau, the one who dreamt of the train was meditating?

Yes @murchr, she was.

Somehow this topic is filling me with 'fear and trembling'. . .

When I trace the dream, I find myself in the womb, and below the ground as the seed. I get a different glimpse of the brain as the germinated seed. I see the root and shoot and the dynamics therein I find hardly described by science as we know it.

The dream becomes a subject of a different science; occultic science, a science whose methods and practice are so different from what many of us are used to.

Conventional science, in my opinion, can only scratch the surface of this topic.

Occult science? Why? Why tremble? If Larry Page dreamt of google and it came to be as great as it is, why should you get scared of dreams?

I've been studying dreams for a while now, for example I have on record like a hundred of my dreams and I can say it has been a great experience to do dreamwork- though I stopped putting the dreams on pen and paper. I still do dreamwork and even now I'm grappling with yesterday's and today's dreams which apparently are about a common theme.

I use dreams sometimes to solve many of my problems. Dreams themselves aren't scary per se. I find it a waste of sleep if I can't recall my dreams.

Fear and trembling comes the more I probe into the dynamics of dreams, and meditation. There, I have found myself looking at what some would call 'God', or 'life force'. And the sensation I get is almost overwhelming. Then when I consider the power in the dream and how it can be used? The trembling increases.

Why the occult? For example when I consider the zygote, or the seed and what makes up for the development, I find a concept like 'Akashic space' useful and apt. And it's not the only idea that emerges as useful. How can a prophet see the future? These and many other situations like psychic phenomena belong to the dream world. Science as we know it can't handle these 'things' without changing its nature.

It's much like enjoying driving without caring about the mechanics. But once one decides to engage in mechanics one enters in a different and more demanding world all together.

Oh wao! haha! So what have your findings been? Any idea as to why you have the common theme?

The common theme was a result of the focus of my conscious thoughts and desires, and apparently my deeper needs as an organism. Let me illustrate:

1. In my conscious thought I was trying to reconcile my relationships to my learning experience - I have been working on healing myself and learning has been part of therapy. The feelings accompanying these thoughts have included anger, resentment, frustration, exertion ...

2. The dreams have illustrated my sense of dependence on others and the effects. For example I have appeared as insecure, aloof, ostentatious but shallow, contentious ...

3. In what I may term as 'superconscious' the dreams have not just been descriptive, they have been prescriptive showing me gradually the changes I need to make. For example the dreams have directed me to see how I need to depend on others and how others depend on me. The superconscious also has changed my understanding of the conscious thoughts I've been having. The feelings I get are of relief, reconciliation, enlightenment ...

Actually the common theme was pronounced in the last four days ending yesterday. Today I suspect I entered into new territory.
