So silly. I suggest we give the gentleman a fair chance and see what he has to offer.

I am always generally pro new blood. Bwana Njoroge kazi kwako.

A PHD from Yale is impressive. I am however not sure WB/IMF actually guarantees good practical experience, this large organisations tend to encourage alot of specialization such that one only gets to master a very narrow field.

I don't envy this guy, the prof had set the bar so high that he will be caught out very quickly if he dares to sleep for more than 5 hours a night.

The Kenyan curse, everything viewed from ethnic angle. Even poor Burundi is much better than this ' civilised' regional giant on ethnicity divide.

How many of the 'men' had a PhD from Yale and 20yrs experience at IMF? Can one get better than that?

So Njoroge is not good enough..because his surname betrays him, as one politico opined.

Ok second question, how many have met him? Know him? What is the basis or the assumption that he is not good enough? Did you work with him, ski with him (yes he does ski) or you were in the same class with him in Yale..

Surely the 8th wonder of the world is the KE middle class..

and yes incase you are asking i indeed have met him - 3 years ago actually and he is a heavy lifter.

The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.

Marvelous. The appointment of a Njoroge would make a sounding improvement on economy and a president's advisor and listener
Hope a Njoroge first job is bring back trust in stock market by doing away with bad legislation where CGT was introduced hurriedly negatively affecting everything. The ball is in his court to advise the presidency.

...this is not in CBK's mandate. Stock markets are the business of CMA and fiscal matters are for Rotich not Njoroge!

I am 100 pc sure there wouldn't have been any noise if the appointee was a "Mr O" with a BA degree from Bondo University college.

Do people really understand what it means to have a PhD from Yale? I wont even mention working for the IMF in Washington.

Graduating from Yale with even a BA degree means you belong to a very small exclusive club. You can imagine having a PhD from Yale. It means you belong to a very very tiny elitist club, the "topest" 0.00001pc of the top cream in the whole world.

This is a uni that has produced 52 Nobel laureates, Dr Njoroge's professors being some of them. It is the uni that the next president of the US Hillary Clinton attended, and also John Kelly. These are the kind of connections Kenya needs in Washington When Njoroge will meet Hillary when she's POTUS or Kelly, it will be very personal, reminiscing their days at Yale. And the dollar pipeline to kenya will be wide open .........and on steroids. It really pays to have friends in very very high places.

And then @maka says that someone with a degree from KU, and no external/international experience, is the best man for the job. Laughable!
