never knew cats are good for ridding a home of snakes! A cat is verminator! The only problem with the cat is that after killing the snake it will drag into house under the sofa sets. Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

If them slitherers are plenty it means their source of food is abundant too - could be rats? frogs? Clear the area and remove the conditions that cause abundance of these these 'snake food' - and yes cats are a good beginning.

A few yrs ago I had a similar problem. I remember one day the house girl called me saying there was a black snake in the house (under the staircase). Since I was at work, I asked the watchies to go and kill the snake, which they did. A few days earlier the hgirl had told me she had seen (while hanging clothes in the backyard) a big snake with 5 young ones basking in the sun hapo nyuma. What I did was to remove all the debris that had remained after the house construction and landscaped the place. I also bought a lawn mover and have always cut the grass afterevery 2 weeks. And since then the snake problem disappeared.
I was informed that some of the snakes are normally transported as eggs in the construction sand from ukambani and you could end up with the deadliest snakes eg black mamba, puff adder etc in your compound when the eggs hatch.

Why would the house girl be calling you instead of Mama The man who marries a beautiful woman, and the farmer who grows corn by the roadside have the same problem

@swenani, pliz don't go the diesel way, because of potential negative impact on the environment (our future generations). Diesel might have a side effect on the other organisms in the soil, that play role in ecosystem, which may eventually impact even on the birds.

Something is making noise inside my handbag which I haven't used for long. It hangs on my wall... Now my eyes are glued to it,because it's open, but I can't move lest the 'thing' jumps out and bites me on the face! Now it's quiet, can imagine it all coiled up waiting for me to doze...
Actually I am changing rooms... cant risk.and just in case..no I will be fine.gotta sneak out slowly, woi God of blessed sister Nyaatha help me.
