I can manage to put away another 100k every month. I have access to loan at 5% interest. Where should I put my money? Biacara, property, shamba??Please advise. If you have no idea where to take the money, do a wedding. Im really considering this, funny as it sounds. I have kept the missus waiting for a while now. So you consider a wedding an investment? How do you measure the rate of return? By the frequency of landing ama children borne? Kindly educate us. Not an investment but something I will have to do in the near future anyway. Might as well tick that box now.

Hey there, My suggestion would to diversify..I'm no expert but from wise readings in wazua forums and other sources do not put all your eggs in one basket especially not with the kenyan economy we have. Not too much but not too little.. Maybe buy some bonds with 8%+ return. A nice 6months fixed deposit account. Invest in shares at the NSE. maybe buy some land. Naturally there maybe other ways you can invest which others may tell you better about. I share the little I know. Random Outlook: Bonds - 250,000(8%+) Shares - 250,000 (Varies on your choices and timing) Savings Account - 500,000 (4-4.5% for 6 months & 8-9% for a year)Land - 500,00 (naturally growing or even start a small business if you have the right idea..maybe work with partners) 'saving Account, at 5-10% per year.' Don't think it's the wisest at the current economic growth. projected inflation 'might' wipe out any gains. Talk to a beautiful lady at Faulu for a modest fixed deposit rate! Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

A wedding can be an investment if the lady is from Kajiado..I know two guys who got free land from the father in law as appreciation...hapo Ronga and Kiserian.

Don't think it's the wisest at the current economic growth. Taking a loan @ 5% p.a + attendant costs AND putting it in a savings account earning (8-9)% p. a vs inflation = Zero sense. My Friend you seemed so ready to criticise what I had suggested..That instead of reading what our friend wrote you (that is the main issue here) you jumped on to me. Anyways.. If you read again he wrote he ALREADY HAS 1.5 m from which i suggested he invest the amounts above. He also has access to a loan at 5% which is completely different from the 1.5m. I think you need to be more productive on the posts and criticise only if you have a better solution. Where should I put my money? Biacara, property, shamba??Please advise. you actually have around 6 million to invest. 1.5m cash and leverage of 4.5million which at 5% interest spread over 48 months works to a monthly repayment of 102,000/= which you say you can manage to put away. Now if it was me in that kind of position

I'd rather you buy that thing that you or your loved one has always wanted, instead of losing some, most or all of the money in an investment you barely understand. ,
