German Nadine Kessler takes the FIFA Women's World Player Of The Year.

Germany seems to be doing well tonight, wonder if Nuer will beat Messi & Ronaldo this evening for the ultimate prize?..

Neuer deserves it for winning the WC and also his achievements at club level.

ANALYSIS
1. Both Messi and Neuer played at the WC Final......FIFA ignored Neuer, who lifted the WC trophy, and controversially declared Messi the player of the tournament.

2. Club Soccer .....Both Messi and Neuer never went far in CL. CR7 lifted the CL title.

a) If FIFA was to declare Neuer the Ballon d'Or winner based on his WC exploits, that would amount to a contradiction. FIFA unwittingly boxed themselves to a corner by unfairly declaring Messi the player of the WC. FIFA should have swallowed their pride and given the accolades to Neuer.

b) FIFA can not declare either Messi or Neuer winners based on club soccer exploits since CR7 won the prestigious CL trophy.

CONCLUSION
1. To avoid contradiction and save face, this thing should go to the mighty CR7.
2. I wont complain much, provided the winner is not a midget.

Congrats CR7!

Me I suspect the Kaiser. Trying to break the Messi/Ronaldo tyranny of talent.

But Ronaldo deserved to win the Balloon Door. He has had a great year

If you win champions league you have a higher chance of winning the best player title. Congrats to CR7! Wish they could have honored Manuel though'
