I think it was Lao Tzu that said, 'He who insists on his way, will find few to agree with him'. But should one seek the agreement and approval of others? I think not. That would be a complete neglect of responsibility and cowardice.
If I waver to popularity and approval ratings then I must forget 'autonomy', and I must deny others of it. I have journeyed too far to do that.
