Do not confuse 'publishing' with 'access' ... Even what you access online (vs a hard/print copy) is published.

LKL is doing fairly well than others*.The slide is not very bad and i have already seen signs of exhaustion on the sellers part. Most likely it will floor at 20-21.75 (But as always patient is a virtue, until there is an explicit trend change, only take position.Unless you are an expert at bottom fishing).

I will be watching this as one of the trades.

Others*=Britam=currently doing 10% drops
centum==Free falling (will check this as one of the trades when madness ends)
Equity== Lots of supply has been checking in.Now lots of supply at 49..Lets see if support volumes will check in at 45(will also be checking this as one of the trades)
etc

I think Longhorn has also invested heavily on the digital front I read in one of their reports they were positioning themselves to take advantage of the Ebook market...

But more importantly, I think companies like longhorn prosper due to their distribution machine or network. Most of them rely on experienced marketers they also have a very good understanding of their Niche market.

likely price after books close. if books close @35/- then price =(35 X 2)/ 5. But Mr market has no manners it could go higher or lower.

Weird this counter. Just noticed that the EPS for the just end FY is 1.08 while the DPS is 1.20??? Paying out dividends higher than EPS d'oh! What is this with flat earnings and none sizable cash flow???

My bad. Above comment withdrawn.

The info on the rich.co.ke stocks section is misleading. The EPS there reads 1.08 yet the official LKL FY reads 1.62. Need to change my quick info resource pronto from rich.co.ke.

Actually the Total Dividend for the year is 2.00 which based on your earlier post is weird given earning per share is 1.62.

The company is giving shareholders more money than they are making.

Oh, seen that they had an interim dividend of 80cts which makes total DPS 2.00.

So my initial concerns are valid. How do you pay such skewed dividend without supporting cash flow?

I just thought the interim dividend of 80cts paid was part of the 1.20 bob final dividend

I expect one down swing before the books close rally, although the stock can defy that.to sell before or after is the exam.
