I have KPLC shares. KPLC is not a good idea for now because government involvement makes it susceptible to the politician's street pronouncements. An example is the recent attack on the price of power by the DP Ruto which saw the stock tumble to a new low.

BBI will solve it

I've just exited KPLC. I hope I don't have to regret it and have to post it as 'What was my worst mistake in trading' on a different thread here months later

Believe me you will.

If it were me I would be adding more (anyway that's what am doing).

But if it's a cash emergency that came up, you don't have to regret, you live to fight another day!

Seeing is believing

I always buy stocks with my "idle" money so as to avoid these kind of scenarios.

Hahaha, too funny! I'm still sitting pretty with KPLC, managed to average down to the current prices up from 21.50 during rights.

What a pity! This is a sideways market and it usually does squeeze.

No, there's no room for regret, you take the lessons (if there are any) and move on. I hope you invest the proceeds received from KPLC wisely.

BBI will solve it

A US-listed maker of electrical wires, General Cable, has announced its entry into the Kenyan market in a move set to challenge EA Cables’ grip on the East African market.

Great. Demand almost thrice the supply at the moment. Looks like the share is about to finally take off

I would think a target price of 40/= for KPLC in 2016 as not being too optimistic..

Caveat:I have invested heavily in this share...
