I support two meetings given we don't have same schedules. Those opposed to use of screen names have nothing to worry because in the last meeting,we shared screen names amongst us and no harm has befell me. I would suggest neutral place where everyone from whichever religion won't shy away from. The first meeting can be in Nairobi then Kitengela later. As for the Nairobi meeting i propose Pizza Garden though we went there last year,i like the place.

Might consider bringing her along in one of the meetings... then will just pay half the price of a cup of tea!

I suggest Mombasa. How about taking advantage of the low occupancy for a weekend get-together. SK could get in touch with the Recreation Department at Nyali Beach Hotel for instance, they can formulate a Team Building plan - a whole day of activities, sports events e.g land aerobics, sack races,3 legged races, water Polo, pool volleyball, beach volleyball, tag of war and jet-skiing e.t.c. Then crown the evening with dinner and dance. Dress code - sports gear, swim kit and something fancy for the evening.

Kiss ass,go places.

me thinks...we should make it very simple somewhere skerians know but the spouses wount have any idea! an events organiser should step up organise everything and skerians will pay an entrance fee to cater for the fee.. EVENTS ORGANISERS THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO TAKE SKERIANS HARD EARNED CASH...STEP UP!!!!!!!!!

maybe on 19th october at rock city..have activities planned out then guys can work on hangovers on 20th!!!

who has the last say on the date and location??

advanced aged? yes. very true. If age was to determine what to produce - youghurt would be close to it. cow juice - yes. 2 cups a day... And thats after trying for almost an hour!!!!!!!

I think Mombasa is not feasible because it involves more time and money commitment. Given previously we've only had one meeting, the possibility members have bonded enough to commit more seems unlikely to me. After several meeting here in Nairobi,i think i will be easier to push for a Mombasa meeting then. However, those who are interested can go ahead with the idea or else Mombasa people can have their own meeting and in future we plan for a unified party. Just a thought.

Where is rock city? Why are people so so anti-spouse? not that i have one but it makes it sound like its going to be a bad thing people are going to do. If the only reason spouses are not coming is so that people can be themselves (not fishy) then fine.

Can we just make it simple - go for a get together say early afternoon and those who want to prolong it into the night they can go ahead. Wachana na mambo ya mombasa etc. There is a place we had gone at Isinya. Its a decent place and pocket friendly. At the time we were there,a CEO of one of the listed companies and a Minister and their 'clique' were there too. Cant remember the name right now but its a nice place - it has beautiful grounds where people can play etc.

Rock City is on Kiambu Road. I think a get together is mostly for people who have common interests. If your spouse isn't interested in stocks, why carry them along? If they are,why leave them?
