SOMEONE mentioned somewhere in another thread they'd received their Equity dividend kitambo. Mpaka now I still havent got mine despite arranging for an EFT with Equity itself n checking on my mail.Am I alone? Plus Equity is scary what with introducing too many ideas/products in a short space of time without taking care of staff morale. Insider info has told me guys there are so demoralised many are at breaking point!

I'm not really sure whether or not I'm veering off topic, but just mentioning. You see, (regrettably) the major stakeholders may not particularly put staff morale as one of the priorities in their agenda, though this ought to be so. In reality, the market is over-flooded with unemployed fellars, so even if the current staff decide to leave, they will be more than easily replaced as soon as they hit the door.

Sad but true.

Go read the other thread,Equity Vs KCB(not KCB or Equity). I mentioned there that payments will be out from 28th seems you didnt bother reading. And that person who said they've already been paid is a member of staff. Theirs come in earlier!
There's no pain in waiting!

I might just buy...I am VERY inclined to buy Equity...I am cashing out on one of the other stocks I have, I think I will be satisfied with an over 50% capital gain...remember in July that matatu thing kicks off and if it does I expect Equity to do well...also their mobile platform might just upset Safaricom's Mpesa...only time will tell on this one

I think Equity, KCB and Britam don't have much headroom left, so i would not recommend them, not unless 5% increase means hundreds of thousands for you.

@INTERESTING - I sincerely hope you didn't take this advice which was given on the 14th of this month!

On the 14th April, the price was 32.50/=. Today it has hit 39.00/=. That is a whooping 20% gain in two weeks. And we are still headed NORTH!!!

Tafakari hayo ya babu!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@INTERESTING - I hope you read post #9 on this thread which I posted on 17th April [3 days later]. On that day, the share traded at a low of 32.25/=

Based on long term outlook and prospects like

"Equity Group Kenya Targets 10 Million Congo Bank Customers"

I think Equity Bank will be the better buy.
