Holiday ni leo au kesho?

Indeed we need one hata kama ni kisumu county smile . Oscars don't come easy, just ask Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Brad Pitt, Leonardo Dicaprio or Samuel L. Jackson. Still chasing the damn thing.

Great job Lupita!!!

Heko kwake lakini - she has done very well - and the dreams are valid.

...Msemo...Mtu hujibiwa kulingana na vile amejipaka maji...Wacha nijaribu... I guess you are used to seeing the ones of yours truly that hang like banana fruits from a banana tree and weighing so heavily on her. Some have small ones that do not need any support and she is in that category. With experience of course you will discover that. Are you now more educated?

I'm so proud and amazed!
Imagine the doors she's opened for the kids in Kenya and Africa?
Imagine the kind of hope and self belief she has built in all of us!

Simply amazing!

BBI will solve it

Very proud of this girl - we don't need Brand Kenya with pips like Lupita and our athletes.

BTW, am curious about the elephant in the room: she very rarely mentions her dad, at her nomination she mentioned her uncle. Iko nini hapa? Her mum?

Ouru has described her as the "Pride of Africa". I hope KQ is listening...they should pounch on her when she is hot and do a deal. Who knows, this could be an opportunity to market themselves in America. By the way when are we getting direct flights to Obama land?

I woke up at 4 am to catch the event live but nikalala before the big announcement Sad , congrats to Lupita.....proud moment as a Kenyan, hii mambo ya Mexico sitaki kuskia!

Its strange that Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Bruce Willis, Robert Downey Jr, Jim Carrey, Hugh Grant and Leonardo Di Caprio have never won Oscars yet they are the big names of Hollywood. Some of their movies have grossed over $400m at the box office. Anyway with this kind of earnings in one year i don't think they are about to complain.....looking forward to see Lupita's name on this list soon. Watch out for her role in Liam Neeson's movie "Non-Stop"

TOP 10 MALE HOLLYWOOD STARS BY 2013 EARNINGS

Robert Downey Jr, 48 - $75 million
Channing Tatum, 33 - $60 million
Hugh Jackman, 45 - $55 million
Mark Wahlberg, 42 - $51 million
Dwayne Johnson, 41 - $46 million
Leonardo DiCaprio, 39 - $38 million
Adam Sandler, 47 - $36.5 million
Tom Cruise, 51 - $35 million
Denzel Washington, 59 - $33 million
Liam Neeson, 61 - $31.5 million
