Its always good to avoid that route since you never know when they will strike. The section between Kachulu-Sharp-Kula Mawe was extremely bad! Only Lorries and proper 4X4 (i.e Landcruisers and Landrovers) can make it there.

Dunkang is very right. It's 90Kms from Maua-Mulika lodge junction with roughly 60kms all weather road but you can't compare it to Isiolo-Garbatulla road.It's 120Kms of pure terror and if it rains,you are royally landed on......Anyone been to Modogashe?? (A further 100 kms from GB)

I have been to almost everywhere in Isiolo, Wajir, Marsabit, Samburu, Mandera Counties, and Partially Garissa.
