The rivalry between the Dinka and the Nuer is the worst thing happening to this young nation!!! When fighting for liberation the different tribes/clans had different army commanding units which still exist even today and this is one reason for the current fight. Kiir wanted to replace a predominant Nuer presidential guard with a Dinka one and the problem started then!!!!

The situation is now calm in Juba town. Fighting has however broken out in Bor Town ( Fmr President Garang's hometown)led by renegade soldiers allied to fmr VP Riek Macher. Airport likely to be opened today to provide a safe passage for thousands waiting to leave. US Mission evacuating Americans this morning and mostly likely others will follow.

Army has taken sides which is quite scary. Politics and Military are a bad mix worldwide.

Guys dont forget our Oil is also located in a volatile area.. surrounded by rebels from their respective neighbouring countries..Dinka Nuer, Oromo, Alshabaab, Lang'o etc..

so it is not far fetched to imagine that Northern Kenya is a hot Keg, especially with the current economic hardships world wide..

The Americans can just decided to make things tough for the Chinese in Kenya.. si westgatE mumesema the Amriki were involved?

Something to the effects of 'It was well saddened' I am waiting for the part where they ask the International community (The West) to consider as they handle CAR as well.

This are just some of the pains experienced by a young'un - they should just be left alone to sort it out, the problems arise when outsiders start interfering.

Kiir can't help himself. He has put soldiers around Rebbeca Garang's house and then declares that she is not under house arrest. The poor lady is marooned at home and cannot leave.
