I thought I was alone and at times I dont get "you have less than 2mb less" so I continue surfing thinking I have mbs kumbe its eating my normal credit....

@ patrazi thanks a lot.

@ maka woi,but I found a solution esp when using modem because the same happens.

convert all the credit you have into bundles.
Only top up the amount you need for that moment and exhaust it if you are a heavy internet user.
I stopped crying.

Well,One must know how much they charge per KB to compare with what's left in their bundles after downloading a file.
So how much does safcom charge per kb? and do they have other 'hidden charges like kplc?
let me do testing.

that would only apply when accessing the internet on pay as you go - when you buy say 100mb bundle and you download a file say 3mb in size - ideally you should be left with 97mb.
What I have noticed is that any streaming service seems to gobble up lots of data - especially the site that automatically have videos playing by default, huffpost, forbes, cnn na zingine.

you open in a new tab, thinking that you will read it latter - kumbe kuna ka video kanacheza
.

There's an easy way of going about this. Install an add-on called 'NoScript' in your Firefox or Chrome browsers, or use Opera browser where scripts are disabled by default.

Been using Orange Data dongle, for almost 5years now. Can't complain. I have good reception (i'm not data hungry', so this would be for home use).

For voice, I'm still on Safaricom.

You may try Airtel though they might be technically expensive compared to other telcos.. Juzi-juzi they quietly increased the 1750MB bundle from 1K to 1200/-.I experience faster speed with them compared to safcom with both networks having full bar on 3G ntrk.
