What some of you are writing borders on blasphemy.
Be careful. God is not mocked.
God hates homosexuality. Period.
If you have a problem with that you are treading on dangerous ground.

It's such words as these that mock God. It's man who is killed by sin, not God. The supreme, I am, remains now and forever more and all should turn to Him for freedom and fulfillment. All have a chance to call upon His name.

Instead of threats there's invitation to perfection and goodness. Why did the Christ say there'd be no men or women in heaven when he was asked if there'd be 'marriage' in heaven?

Yes indeed. Let us be careful about what we say.

The bible is very clear about homosexuality. When one of its leaders starts making such comments then it just goes to confuse everyone else. Should we follow the bible teachings or set them aside and follow the individual opinions of church leaders?

The Bible isn't just the revealed word of God. It is also a statement of human wisdom.

And it is upon us to be diligent. The other day I was watching 'the Borgias' and there's this place the new Pope tells his son Cesare to help him interpret 'The silence of God'.

And my mind went back to the men and women of the ancient of days. And I'm filled with anguish. Is the Spirit within this temple? Now?

The matter is so crucial. 'God loves man'. God loves me. Who am I? I am everyone. Everything and nothing.

I am the evolution of human consciousness. Consciousness of the silence of God, which alas, is so eloquent.

From Genesis to Revelation I see Man's consciousness of God changing along with fixed 'motifs'. And so is it with other holy books.

And at every turn God appropriates the Sin of the world; an ever expanding world.

Let us not forget that awareness of God's presence transforms us to His likeness. Imagine there are some people who are not invited to this healing, and transforming moment.

And to keep some people off, this exclusive God has employed some people to do the police work.

Yet we are all sinners and our righteousness is filthy rags. Surely the idea of a homophobic God is untenable!

To think that doing 'good', attending mass and practicing heterosexuality accounts for holiness is idol worship and departure from truth.

Lets be honest. Homosexuality is legal in many countries. I repeat legal. Why the hustle to get it into the church? If the church in Africa does not want it then let it go. These are the same people who told us coz their God had a son he is better than ours. Now they come back and tell us that God has now changed His mind and He does not mind homosexuals. C'mon seriously. We need to get our own identity. All you progressive thinkers need to get your own identities. I bet if the Americans said bestiality is fine then you all would follow suit.Anyway, lemme end here. I have learnt that Africans are a cursed lot. Europeans are the worst thing that happened to us.

Man will go to great lengths to justify his ideas.
Unless some people are using another bible, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of homosexuality.

Has God changed his position on homosexuality now? I don't think so.

The greatest Christian I have ever met was a street preacher who came to our village years ago, when I was a little boy. I have never forgotten these words from him, even though I have heard them repeated many times:

"God hates sin but he loves the sinner. This is the reason he sent his son Jesus to Earth."

I don't pretend to understand Christianity, really.

But I can't help wondering. Does your "God hates homosexuality" mean he hates homosexuals?

Otherwise I can't see where Bishop Tutu is wrong in saying God loves all people, period.

What ideas are you defending? What lengths have you gone in this defense?

The other day in our neighborhood fellowship we were reading about Abraham's conversation with God on the destruction of these cities you've mentioned. And Abraham would ask God if He'd destroy the city if there were twenty faithful servants and God would reply 'No'. What about ten? 'No'. What about five? What about if there was one?

The follower of Christ, the bearer of the Cross is both the salt and light of the world. He is the bearer of the water of life that fulfills. Let's not forget that Christ came for the lost, the sinners.

I invite you to read through the Bible and see if there are no changes in God consciousness through the different books. Even Abraham himself was transformed in consciousness! The living word is the transforming word.

Can the present day Christian transform the world? No. He fears the world. He's hidden his light under the table of self righteousness. He is the modern, or is it postmodern, Pharisee?

Perhaps you can enlighten us on how the Republicans have weighed on this matter in the Supreme court.

1. Bishop Tutu is a South African.
2. He is Anglican
3. He is also Roman Catholic since the Church of England rejoined Catholic church
4. He does not believe Jesus resurrected
5. He also does not believe Jesus ascended into heaven.
6. David Cameron, the PM wants to export homosexualim to the commonwealth, including Kenya.
7. The Queen of England signs the Gay Charter.
8. She is the current head of the Church of England
9. I am really searching where Demoncrats and America have to do with this.
10. I have not seen the vigor against these happenings unlike when the American president said the same thing.
11. What are we doing wrong?

Due to my profession, I can judge a good chicken egg from a bad chicken egg. In fact, I can throw away one before you eat it, just by looking at it.

But I'd rather not start judging who will go to heaven and who won't. I have a funny feeling that there shall be a few surprises for some of us when such a day comes.

Until God comes and tells me unequivocally and not in a dream or through a "human" pastor/clergy/prophet/etc I will stay out of judging other people based on what I perceive to be right or wrong.
Jose: If I make it through this thug life, I'll see you one day. The Lord is the only way to stop the hurt.
