...even ordinary influenza kills.....

problem is; many people confuse it with the common cold.....

If you have flue symptoms (similar to common cold,but plus feaver,go to any clinic and you will get traetment)............

Just got this email:::::Today,a case of H1N1 has been confirmed by the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation. The case is of a British Citizen who recently arrived in Kenya. There is no need for alarm,as the disease is mild and this is an isolated case,likely imported into the country.

Stay at home if unwell with fever,sore throat or flu-like symptoms.
Practice good personal hygiene,with frequent hand washing and covering of coughs and sneezes with your inner elbow or a handkerchief.
Avoid nonessential body contact in social interactions.(like kissing as a form of greeting)
Maintain a clean environment with disposal of handkerchiefs and disposable cups etc. in appropriate receptors.
Use local health care providers wisely to avoid unnecessary overload but also to seek help if clearly unwell with fever over 38° and flu-like symptoms.

A british citizen???? i hope they put him in the next available flight out of kenya..... if you were in uk,they would charter a plane to be sure you are gone!! and visa canceled and denied for the next 10 years... just to be sure.

@Mali,

Swines have always been here and they will always be here save for a nuclear holocust happening. I guess you mean swine flu.

I do not think it is a serious issue. But if the pharmaceutical companies can creat a scare,they can sell their vaccines. Swine flu,bird flu,next is monkey flu,fish flu,cow flu all viruses with the prefix H1N* where * = 1 to 9

The scaring part is that the epidemic of swine flu in 1918 killed 10% of the world population that time or atleast 50million people.......
