They're .. a different level of luxury. With regards to fuel efficiency, maintenance as well as initial price, Jetta is likely to cost you less and likewise... less 'clout'. Have heard similar opinions on the Jetta from my buddies. Now I can narrow down to my initial choices of BMW 3series Vs Merc C180. Actually I see myself going for the Merc C180. I'm guessing you are specifically saying C180 because you're looking at fuel economy.... Just so you know, (or you might already be aware) that the C200 (post 2003) is also a 1.8L engine... And the newer C180 (post 2008) is available in 1.6L.

Thanks for the info.By ex Nairobi I meant the local prices.I will give you an order before the year ends for a Navy blue C200 1.8 as generally in Kenya a Mercedes opens doors.
