Well... 90% of KQ's business is external/foreign business... so a railway is not a huge threat... and that railway is still a pipe dream... and will it pass thru kibera?

@pierce - If GoK was to reduce taxes then I would think airfare/flights would be much cheaper.

KQ has a 5,000 RETURN deal for NBO-Mombasa but you need to add 3,400 as taxes!

The train would kill KQ on the Msa route. Add to the cost of flying taxi fare to JKIA ( to and fro),taxi fare to Moi (to and fro) and add to the travel time the 2 hours arrival time (both ends) .....

@GG - The thing is that a hi-speed train does not come cheap...

And I figure they will/should have a train between CBD & JKIA?

Lakini... I know you know we will not see a high-speed train (even if it is an excellent idea) for at least 5 years...
