Once they get to realize that it won't only be the employer parting with money but also themselves, they will quickly dismiss hoever comes checking on the door. The 400 to be submitted by the employer is the employers 200 and 200 from the househelp.

As I was expecting this matter is to be taken to court. How do I pay NSSF for him/her yet we don't have a formal contract? If he/she leaves prematurely, will I be refunded my contributions? If he/she is on a six months probation, then? or ni kibarua?

NSSF should enhance its registration facilities to help it reach more individuals, that way saving formally for retirement can be mainstreamed across the board. This is an effort in the right direction.

I sent my househelp they were told to come back with me, ati the employer must be present.

When they told the NSSF idiots they are self-employed, they refused to believe.

What a waste of time seriously...

This was NSSF Westlands Office.
