@jaggernaut
Hence the sailing club on Langata road!!!
I've been wondering how the club came about. I could not connect it to nairobi dam owing to its current state.

Blame it on the leadership after independence, they were more interested in filling up their 'stomachs' than anything else.

And up to 1997 you and your family would have been living in some tiny mud hut on some settler's farm slaving aka providing free labour. Most likely you would be illiterate and needed a special pass or visa to visit the city centre. The only jobs available for you and your kin would have been being farmhands, cooks and watchmen. And no pub would have served you, infact you would have been put in jail for trespass. You couldnt legally own land, grow cash crops or take Tusker.

HA HA HA HA!! funny.
Shida started when we were allowed into the city and with us came the village;potatoes,tomatoes,goats,warus,sukuma wiki,cassava maize etc etc then Voila!! marikiti was born and that marked the beginning of strange smells,peels and all the mess.
But no hope lost.Nbo is better now than it was before multipartism.
