Was there on monday and it was not wet/muddy.But there is what is called "Kifii".And it was quite thick you could almost touch it.

Please bring me a net of yellow onions and remember to buy "bebe cia jino" hapo kwa turnoff from Nakuru Nairobi road.Very fresh and sweet.

Plus you need to have new break pads, the slope down from Nairobi-Nakuru highway is scary

very true, your car must be in very good shape to make the climb too. I hope you know road we are talking about.

and its full of corners Sad Sad

Kwani going to Kinjabe we follow the lower Mai Mahiu road or the upper Naibacha road from Nairobi?
d'oh! d'oh!

dont use mai mahiu. use nbo - naivasha rd then u will find the exit somewhere after kimende.

How is the weather there like now?Is it mawingu wingu mob and rainy/muddy? I intend to use my front wheel drive, my 4WD is too new to be shiet on by the donkey.
Shame on you

go find out man. It's supposed to be exciting and a discovery now you want to be told everything. just ensure you have good tires & brakes (steep road), headlights and wipers are working (fog & showers) and a donkey proof bumper. Once you get there, ask around where RVA is and if you spot an african student, piga picha :)

Boss, you can hack it. First who will sell to you! Second the AIC Church is the Koigi there. They vet all business including mending the shoes.

ION, if the govt wants to get the AS, they should check some of those patients there. Very unKenya injuries.

I did not know this was all about 'Kijafi'
I worked and lived there from 2003-2007. There is nothing sober about Kijabe. .... Sorry to disappoint.Mademoni uishi na sio statehousesmile

For your drive,go there, ukiwa umeshiba, because there is no town( unless one has grown since i left),and the only restaurant is in the hospital, you queue for food, typical ushago food

we used cars that looked like this so do not worry about having a car with extra serious brakes. You will be fineLaughing out loudly

About buying land- forget it ,AIC church had a hold over miguda there, they said they were sub-diving to give the the poor, the land was given to tycoons Pray Pray - Chicote ya Mungu ikija,it will strike there first.

Huko hakuna freeze and shine, vaeni jackets

Positives-the air is pure, nice view of the rift on your way and if you go down hospital road, you can get out and walk and enjoy the place without worrying about the invisible mademoni

Lete updates ukienda!

The locals call it KEJABI, but the maps say KIJABE.... the "E" and "I" are interchanged!

Just wondering if it is town or center d'oh! d'oh!

I remember it for basket ball games... I think it was the first indoor court I saw Silenced

I think the most sober town is Eldoret.

Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you That can never be. I once went there for audits and the guys I found were already high. Then in the evening they took me out to a very noisy joint and the things I saw there are far from 'sober'...

My memories of Kijabe are trecking up and down those Kijabe hills, through bamboo forests and tall trees and climbing over massive rocks. Sleeping on a rocky ground on a cold night; eating partially cooked cabbages, potatoes, rice and baked beans; trying to hold mandazis with frozen fingers; physical training drills at 4am doing squats, duck walks and press-ups on murram roads; carrying a stone in my rucksack for kilometers on end. From that July, I have never been to Kijabe again.
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.
