Share of associate is at ksh.383 million

is it true to conclude that cic pbt is 1.45b

2011 PBT was 787M. The multiple of 3.78 on 383 = 1447M. If this is accurate then it means CIC is expected to announce PBT growth up by 83.9%!?

If true then I have to relook at CIC again with more seriousness now that I'm looking at playing the insurance stocks just for the elections premium goodwill.

@Pkoli investment in government treasury bills and bonds plus corporate bond business.
Nwdays majority of the private or personal vehicles I see on the road insurance is CIC.
@hisah it was profit after tax and not PBT

@Ericsson - yes I see it's PAT. Really shocked. But will wait for the official CIC results.

Many thanks. At this rate CIC is likely to join the league of Jubilee.

I smell a dividend of about 15 - 20 cents!

CIC seeing trades @4.40 with VWAP @4.25. Breaking out of the 4-4.20 range that has been a bull cap since recovery from 3.05 lows.

Insurance stocks will rally hard if the polls go well.

@Ericsson - I'm still digesting that billion plus CIC PAT as per Coop's results. Unbelievable.

A guy had told @obiero that KCB will make 20B.
Another guy had told @guru267 that MOO would give an extremely high dividend as a way of saying 'thank you'.

So everyone, just wait for the results, whether good or bad, we will look at them then!

Have followed the logic and found Q4 2012 bagged in alot. My outlook is that they revalued the CIC Plaza and Kamiti Land during the Q4 2012. They did the same in 2011 which informs my Q4 2012 outlook
