First we have cultural, economic and thus political ideas being in conflict.

We should thus be having a multidisciplinary team of ecologists, sociologists, religious leaders etc. busy trying to broker understanding, and generating possible solutions.

Traditional leaders should by now have had ideas on compensation and new rules of interelation.

The police have the role of ensuring the above efforts run without hitch.

how is it possible that upto now NSIS have not found a way of collecting intelligence from this area?

They talk of gangs of over 100 youths, this means that if you randomly pick 100 young men atleast 1 should have either participated or knows something about it.

A friend from Mt. Elgon tells me KDF rounded up all youths in the village, took them to a field and would only be let go if they say something, whereas this method was condemed it wiped out SLDF.

AP. ....capable but perhaps the most useless security outfit in Kenya. All I hear is

1. APs shot n killed
2. AP shoots innocent pple
3. APs in robberies
4. They never get to accompolish any task nkt!
