So what happens at bridal showers? But you shall remember the LORD your God,for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers,as it is this day. Deu 8:18

On a more serious note. I have attended several bridal showers but to give the mans side of things. Ofcourse I am then chased away when the stripper arrives. Youll be shocked at all the things that you mamas think you know but you obviously need to be told. Be greedy when others are fearful,be fearful when others are greedy.

So,where does the male stripper come in according to tradition? Nowhere in the Wikipedia story did I read about it. Now,you want to make the lady who is about to wed fall in love with a stripper or what? Her husband may not be that type and if she remembers the Shower Stripper,it would only cause her to go searching for one. I though women are supposed to be well behaved in all forums. Men should also behave and not go strutting their God given taranda in front of women. Evil minds, now start condemning Fr. Kizito who has done it for the last 20 years. Stay young, keep your wheels in motion.

Those who make things happen, 2. Those who watch things happen 3. And those who ask what happened. Where do you fall?

@ngwono,Thx @ carygoh,so why the male stripper? Does he reveal it all? As in birthday suit? If so..... Why should the bride see the 'third limb' before the d-day? Why? God save us........! For the wedding gown I could link you up with a supplier in China who can get you your dress to you in 30 days. Prices range from about 20k onwards. Be greedy when others are fearful,be fearful when others are greedy.

Am at a loss here, now what is this male stripper? Then again, this bridal shower according to Wiki is about fathers who cannot afford dowry for their doughters which happens in some communities but in Kenya its men to have the headache. Why should we adopt western calutures which add no value to our marriages. Without Holiness no man shall see God.Dear God,mould me to be a vessel of honour at this End times,to remain Obedient to your Word in all situations.Amen!

@ Ngwono, Today's bridal showers have been westernized, but so has everything else. In traditional African culture a bridal shower is similar to ceremonies that were held by aunties so that they can talk to you about marriage, what to expect, and a discussion where a bride to be would ask all the questions. In Mombasa and swahili cultures a girl is taught how to cook, clean, treat her husband, put on makeup, how to juggle children, how to deal with inlaws e.t.c. Now today that practice is non existent..... so a bridal shower is a party held by a bride to be friends to usher her into marriage. The friends organise for a small bash thus food drinks and venue, they get the bride to be gifts and this range from lingerie,to scented candles, kitchen stuff, bed sheets, perfume, body lotions the list is endless... . Very important her friends who are married talk to her about what to expect and in turn she asks all sorts of questions. Your friends can bring in an expert on marrige counseling,a pastors wife, sex therapist (or so they are called) just to try and shed some light on what to expect... Now on a completely separate note, girls who love to party - Nairobi style and spend endless weekends drinking an clubbing a bridal shower will need to reflect their lifestlye thus there will be lots of alohol, music dancing and to spice things up a Male stripper... Hope I have shed some light!!!
