@ Alpha Doti

Noted and Thank you. Shouldn't have used that 'W' word.

Their 1 Derby Road, London E7 8NH, was a sort of garage lock-up shed behind a row of shops as opposed to a Shop front or a Unit in an industrial estate. Though the place seemed reasonably equipped there were no offices.
May be I should have seen this one coming.

I will attempt to reach them again... I have always had the impression (now apparently mis-guided) that warias are honest.

warias can make you miserable! and they breed on this misconception by people that they are honest.

@ybindya68 You sound much more optimistic than me..smile . Since they all went underground, I've lost any hope of the goods ever turning up. Not started the legal action yet as was awaiting feedback from this forum i.e. to identify if other people had the same issue. Since Majid & his crew have gone AWOL I will certainly be doing that before the end of the week. Please let me know should your goods get delivered. Good luck!

True.

Not all, but some do.

Following the conversation and yes, it is unfortunate. I've lost some of my stuff as well but I was directed to this gentleman in eastlands off jogoo road who just 2 days ago bought a container that was shipped in September but has been sitting at port since. If you know anyone who shipped their stuff in September, tell them to go to the road just after the Shell and before Uchumi. Go to Uhuru Textiles building opposite Crescent Girls High School. You'll see loads of stuff there. If you are lucky, you might just be able to salvage something.

Has anyone heard any news of a container that was shipped in December?

Not exactly.... Ilamos is a 'breakaway' from Kesom (African Salhiya)...

The two brothers previously worked together. So (majid) Ilamos would be the brother of Abdi (Kesom)

... I stand to be collected.

@Ybindya68, Thanks. The goods finally arrived and just the same as you was delivered by Kesom Freight and had to show them proof of payment. I think we were lucky to say the least, if indeed Ilamos closed down and things auctioned off. Its unfortunate that there isn't much option in terms of sending goods other than Kesom..or are there?

somewhere in E12 (East London) a container has surfaced...

Contents (among other items)

- used washing machine (indesit)
- large, 46- 60", flat screen TV (Bush)
- clothing
- large speakers
- some electronics
- household goods
- etc

All belonging to different people (items labelled)

The 'holding company'/bailiffs continue to charge storage for the entire container.

Someone who had items that had gone missing with Ilamos, had to pay some money to have the container unlocked. Stroke of luck... she found her items (garage equipment etc) intact + plus many other peoples items.

The holding company want to recover costs and have offered the lady all the items if she pays some costs and wishes to have the items.

The lady (apparently good-hearted) says she is willing to have the items shipped to Nairobi if the owners are willing to cover their shipping costs... rather than acquire the goods herself.

Kesho (Wednesday) she will return to the site as she plots her next move.... possibly get the consignee names as shown on the labelled goods. it is assumed that these items were for shipment through Ilamos around Oct/Nov/Dec 2011.
...

Will try to get some updates after tomorrow.

I just hope some get their property.

Hey guys, i posted most of my household goods via ILamos cargo end of 2011, the delivery of the items was delayed for so many reasons. Unfortunately i lost all my goods just like everyone else, has someone taken legal action over this issue? Or heard of anything? Please let me know, thanks.
