I am intending to buy my first car.Between Subaru ipmreza station wagon 1600cc 2003 model and toyota fielder 1500cc 2003 model , which one is stable on the road , easy to maintain , good interms of fuel efficiency?

All the factors above depends mostly on the driver, but given a fairly decent driver;
Subaru impress Her is more stable on the road
Toyota Fielder is easier to maintain
Toyota Fielder is good fuel efficiency wise.

Which to buy, depends on your needs. If its a family car I would go for the Fielder;
if its performance, I would go for the Subaru.

For first car i would say
Subaru has terrible resale value, high maintenance cost. If it broke down in the bundus you would sweat!
Toyota has very good resale value, cheap to maintain, as good as pesa mkononi. I sold mine in one week while my friend with a Subaru took six months!

I would buy a toyo for a first car

@sonko2 having owned driven the 1.5 non turbo impreza, fielder 1.5 and 1.8.I would advise you to buy the 1.8 Fielder because:
-Fast: it's faster than the 1.5 non turbo impreza. The ONLY fast Impreza is the 2.0 non turbo and the WRX versions.The 1.5 is slooow and guzzles fuel like a 2.0.
Forget all those 1.5 impreza's that have mufflers fitted on them.The only car the can overtake are the 990cc vitzes.A 1.5 vitz RS will show them dust.Power/weight ratio...etc

-Maintenance: being your first car you don't know which corners you should cut and which you should take.The Toyota is more forgiving.

If you must buy an impreza.Buy a 2.0 turbo/non-turbo engine.anything lower will DISSAPOINT like a wet sweater.

If you are worried about carjacks buy a Mazda Axela/Demio etc.

@seppuku.... i guess u was drivin a very faulty Impreza 1500cc, coz with mine and the spark plugs totaly burnt i was managin around 10kms/l, then again it has speed! the 2000cc is better but with a higher consumption. if u are to compare the vits rs with anything under 1800cc, it will soo unfair in givin the real picture. technically
