Ok, the gaament will construct the watch tower, at the heart of the forest and employ you to man it!

Those elephants will demolish you and your tower. Remember that Engineer who was crushed to death inside his ka-toyota last year.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Laughing out loudly....In the Gods Must Be crazy movie, the bushmen had a cheaper and more effective method of stopping fires by burning the area where the fire seems to be moving next such that by the time the fire reaches the burnt area, it dies off.....maybe Serikali can ask for assistance from these great people of the Khalakhadhi...

the fire, which started four days ago escalated after spreading to the bamboo zone.

Ihure said the bamboo trees, usually very close to each other, have made it difficult for the fire fighters to create firebreaks.

"The fire is spreading very fast and the bamboo trees explode due to the heat scaring away fire fighters," he said.

He pointed out that dry trees on the ground are very flammable, providing good fuel for the fire to spread. The forestry officer underscored the need for the country to invest in helicopters which carry water or fire fighting liquid like is the case in Australia and other developed nations saying that lack of such technology in the country is a time bomb.

While this is going on, we have not had any help from mighty China. Yet our politicians keep thumping their chest that we are a sovereign state and don't want any western influence.

Sasa no wonder hatuendelei cz we dont want to leave the cradle and start walking!! for how long shall we continue breastfeeding?Sad

The politicians are ok in saying that. Some not all, know what they mean.
Look here, its not as if Kenya cannot afford helicopters or hire experts to train us on how to deal with emergencies,
Our priorities are just wrong.
Siasa mob and slow maendeleo.

And no kenya isnt as backwards as many people think. We are counted in Africa.
Just a few visionless fellows dragging us behind.

In most developed countries, I know Kenya is not, there is the fire department why can’t we have a fire department /fire rescuers whose job is things like fires and accidents. Whenever there is an accident, most injured people are usually rescued by passersby or inexperienced people who at times despite their good intentions end up doing more bad than good. You will hear victims screaming “chunga mkono” coz a Good Samaritan has mishandled the victim. We are now using private companies like G4S to fight fires.

The funniest: most serious is when they send the airport fire engines to fight fires leaving the airports without the vital machines
