Without support its hard. I once met some guys reaping out a traffic sign at the Uthiru roundabout, loaded it into a lorry and they sped off. I felt helpless.

scrap metal trade should be banned for 1 year and reorganized(new licensing, thorough vetting and new procedures).it says alot about security if 40 poles can be cut, loaded and taken away near jkia. How much does scrap metal business contribute to gvt revenue compared to the damage it causes to the economy that runs into the billions for kplc, telcos and lost service?

Though so too. Unless this is an inside job, I think its scary because you probably need a quarter of the time to assemble a deadly rocket launcher near such a facility especially and for something like this to be possible when we are wheeping the alkebab in Sumalia.

Is the security surveillance at these facilities only cosmetic?

In rural areas, sufurias are hot cakes......and as things "improve",i'll anticipate a thug appearing in your house, gun in hand and says,"Nionyeshe mahali huwa unaweka sufuria zako".You oblige but as the thug leaves,he notices you were making sembe and throws a paperbag your way and says,"Weka ugali yako hapa".Again, you oblige..... and off he goes with your hot sufuria!....The government won't ban scrap metal dealing for all our cries.Welcome to vision 3020!
