Good idea this one. We are in compound and near a river so they have water to drink. I will seriously consider this. Let me google


On the day of harvesting, dealing with the aftermath can be a challenge.

The proximity of the Hive from human dwelling need to be considered.

Otherwise you may be compelled to temporarily relocate to evade the wrath of the Bees

Put some insect repellant when lighting fire in the chimney e.g citronella oil

If you choose to have a bee hive make sure its far away from humans or livestock. Apparently as many as 4 stings to a human or cattle can be fatal.
As for removing em from the chimney soak a cloth in paraffin and hang it near them. Hope it ain't low enough such that the clothe may catch fire.
